Membership and Sponsorship procedures

 

  1. Membership application
    Any regular membership requests that meet the guidelines can be approved by the Membership Manager. The guidelines are:
  2. Applications which do not meet criteria
    Any requests for Membership or Sponsorship, which do not meet the membership guidelines, will be sent to the Management Board signatories and are subject to approval. An applicant whose application for membership is refused shall be given brief reason for the refusal by the Administrative Board signatories.
  3. Tell us about yourself’ information
    By submitting your responses, you are granting The Abrahamic Business Circle Dubai your consent to present you and your company to the The Abrahamic Business Circle email database and social media followers.
  4. Membership renewal and expiry
    4.1 The system will generate four auto emails, a month apart, from two months before renewal and ending when the two month grace period after membership expiry has ended. For your convenience, all emails will include invoices.
    4.2 The The Abrahamic Business Circle Office will follow up with a personal call, where possible, or email one month after the renewal date (to all paying members under company membership).
    4.3 A list of members whose membership is due for renewal will be circulated to the Management Board as part of the monthly report, in the event that they know any members personally and can reach out to them.
    4.4 Lapsed memberships may be reactivated at any point. However, should the request for reactivation be received after the end of the two month grace period, the joining fee will apply.
    4.4 Membership commences on the date when payment is received unless that date is within the grace period, in which case it will be back-dated to the original joining date.
  5. When a membership expires the following process will apply:
    5.1 During the two month grace period the member will be contacted at the end of the first month, member benefits will become inactive and any events will be charged at non-member rates.
    5.2 If no response has been received by the end of the second overdue month, the member will be deemed inactive and will be removed from the system.
    5.3When a member communicates in writing that they no longer wish to be a member, their membership will be de-activated and their information will be removed from the system when their membership expires.
  6. Event Cancellation & Refund Policy
    The following policy covers all events organized by The Abrahamic Business Circle, and applies to all circumstances. Please carefully review the following when registering.

    By registering to attend The Abrahamic Business Circle’s event, you agree to the following:
    6.1 Registrations
    Your registration is not complete until full payment is received. All registrations are valid for the named attendee only and cannot be transferred during the date of the event. If you cannot attend the event, please contact us.
    6.2 Substitution and Transfer
    Transferring your ticket to someone else

    You may transfer your registration to any of your representatives assuming payment has been received in full. Our policies also apply to your representative.
    Please contact us so that we can update the attendees.
    6.3 Credit or transfer between events
    If you wish to transfer your registration to another Abrahamic Business Circle’s event, it may be possible depending on availability—please contact us. Transfers are valid for the same calendar year, up to the value of sum paid by you in respect of the event.

    We also accept credit for a future event to be used within 12 months from the notice, depending on availability.
    6.4 Cancellation
    6.4a Events
    All event registrations are non-refundable. You may be able to transfer your registration to another event, subject to availability.

    6.4b Memberships and Sponsorship
    All Memberships and Sponsorship payments are non-refundable. You may be able to transfer your Membership to another representative, subject to the approval of the Board of Members of The Abrahamic Business Circle. Sponsorships can be transferred for a future event to be used within 12 months from the notice, subject to availability.*Bank charges will be fully beared by the Member, Sponsor or Registrant.
  7. For All Events
    This policy applies to all circumstances including any COVID-19 related reasons such as: transportation disruptions and cancellations, border closures, travel visas being declined, illness, travel or health advisories and quarantines. COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen thus our extended support has ended.

    All participants acknowledge that changes in itinerary, location, content, host or other arrangements may happen with little or no notice before the event date, in response to reasons including but not limited to: weather events, security events, closed borders, public health scares, host or team sickness or injury. The Abrahamic Business Circle reserves the right to do so at any time, although we will make every attempt to make decisions jointly with the participants.  

    It may be necessary to cancel an event for reasons beyond our reasonable control. If The Abrahamic Business Circle is required to cancel an event, we will offer you the choice of either: (a) a refund for the paid amount minus a 6% transaction and administrative charges; or (b) credit for a future event of your choice subject to availability, to be used within 12 months from the notice, up to the original registration value.

    In such cases, our liability is limited to refunding the fees according to the policy above for the affected event. Beyond that, we shall not be liable for any costs or loss resulting from changes or cancellation as a result of an event outside our reasonable control.

    We reserve the right to return the payment and refuse acceptance of the booking at any time, for any reason, at no penalty to us.  Any refund due, once approved, will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the cancellation notice to your original payment method, which usually show up in 3 – 5 days.

    (7a)   In order to ensure a smooth and timely processing of all event-related requests, we kindly request all participants to carefully review and adhere to the specified terms and conditions. To guarantee that your application is processed efficiently, it is imperative that all required documents are submitted and the application is completed at least 15 days prior to the event date. We would like to emphasize that due to the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) permit application requirements, we will be unable to accommodate any last-minute speaking engagement requests. Your cooperation and understanding in complying with these guidelines are greatly appreciated, as they contribute to the overall success of our event planning process.

  8. Code of Conduct
    8.1 Members must act honestly and fairly at all times when dealing with other members, potential clients, customers and counterparties and to be a good steward of their interests, taking into account the nature of the business relationship with each of them, the nature of the services to be provided to them and the individual mandates given by them.
    8.2 Members must act with integrity in fulfilling the responsibilities of your membership and to seek to avoid any acts, omissions or business practices which damage the reputation of their organisation or the The Abrahamic Business Circle.
    8.3 Members must observe applicable law, regulations and professional conduct standards when carrying out business and to interpret and apply them to the best of their ability according to principles rooted in trust, honesty and integrity.
    8.4 Members must be alert to, and manage fairly and effectively and to the best of their ability, any relevant conflict of interest.
    8.5 Members must strive to uphold the highest personal and professional standards.

  9. Unsolicited Marketing and Misuse of the The Abrahamic Business Circle Brand
    9.1 Members shall not misuse the The Abrahamic Business Circle name or logo

    No member of any category (or employee thereof (as such term is used in the Constitution)) shall have any rights in respect of any trade names or trademarks used by the Group or of the goodwill associated therewith and each member acknowledges (as an ongoing condition of membership) that it shall not acquire any rights in respect thereof and that all such rights and goodwill are and shall remain vested in the Group. No member shall, without the prior written approval of the Administrative Board, use the Group’s trademarks or trade names, nor any trademarks or trade names so resembling the Group’s trademarks or trade names, as to be likely (in the opinion of the Administrative Board, acting reasonably) to cause confusion or perceived endorsement from the Group. It is hereby confirmed that the The Abrahamic Business Circle holds all intellectual property rights (including copyright and trademark rights) in its name, logos, acronyms and related goodwill. The trade names The Abrahamic Business Circle are intellectual property rights of the Group. All intellectual property rights of the Group are protected from copying and simulation under local and international laws and may not be reproduced, copied or otherwise used without the express prior written permission of the Group.
    9.2 Members shall not use The Abrahamic Business Circle data for unsolicited bulk marketing

    It is an ongoing condition of membership of the Group, and in accordance with GDPR regulation, that no member shall use data relating to other members of the Group which is contained in, or available through, any database, website, publication or directory issued or operated in respect of the Group, for the purposes of unsolicited bulk marketing. For these purposes, unsolicited bulk marketing shall mean the sending of a message if: (1) the recipient’s personal identity and address details are irrelevant because the message is equally applicable to many other addressees; and (2) the recipient has not verifiably granted explicit permission for it to be sent. For the avoidance of doubt, membership of the Group does not constitute permission from or by any member to be sent messages from any other member. The purpose of this rule is not to prevent the use of the membership data for networking and direct contact purposes in the furtherance of business, but to prevent mass-mailings and other unsolicited marketing tactics which target all or a section of the membership with information and/or offers and promotions for which the recipient has expressed no interest directly and which have not been endorsed by the Group. Should you be in any doubt regarding whether a proposed use of the membership data is in breach of this rule please seek clarification from the Group.
    Breach of either or both of the above rules shall entitle the Administrative Board to expel the relevant member and/or its representatives in accordance.
    When the The Abrahamic Business Circle circulates any offer or other material at the request of a member or associate or other advertiser or promoter it does so without liability or responsibility on its part. Circulation does not imply that the offer or other material or the advertiser or promoter is in any way endorsed by the The Abrahamic Business Circle.

  10. Consent for the taking of images, videos, mailing, and authorization
    By attending the event, the attendees unanimously express their implied and tacit consent and authorization during the event for the taking of photographs, video recordings, and their publication on websites, social media networks, and blogs where it will be used for future use in connection with its business, and understanding that they are accessible to anyone connected to the internet. Additionally, consent to receive a mailing list in connection with the upcoming event or newsletter.

  11. Logo Usage:
    By joining the event, you grant us the right to use your company’s logo for marketing and promotional purposes. This may include but is not limited to, displaying your logo on our website, social media, and other marketing materials. We may also use your logo in press releases, advertising, and other promotional activities related to our event. If you have any concerns or objections regarding the use of your logo, please contact us and we will address your concerns promptly.
  12. Disclaimer
    Under no circumstances shall The Abrahamic Business Circle have any liability to any losses or damages of any kind incurred as a result of the activities of its members.
    The Abrahamic Business Circle cannot, has not been able, or will not be able to give any guarantees or promises, both direct and indirect, regarding the success of any transaction (Fundraising, Join-Venture, etc.) expressly exonerating The Abrahamic Business Circle, FZCO in this regard.
